A scuttling spotted dear clicked from a fast moving jeep @ Corbett National Park

A Very old Safari to Corbett National Park @ Uttrakhand, INDIA: This was my first safari in Corbett. We entered through the Bijrani Gate. The interesting thing about a safari is that many people tell you upfront that the chances of sighting a tiger is very slim. But at each visit you feel that you may be the lucky one. A bride in the traditional Rajasthani Bridal Dressup @ Pushkar Camel Fair -2008

You do not need to look too closely to figure out the difference. The patchwork lehenga in bold colors along with white painted jewellery is a trademark of Rajasthan. The white jewellery was traditionally made of ivory. But Ivory from the Endangered Indian Elephants is now banned.

Bridal Competetion for Tourists @ Pushkar Camel Fair - 2008: While visiting Pushkar, I chanced upon a Bridal Competition where young foreign girls dressed in beautiful Indian bridal dresses, contemporary and traditional. Till very recent past, it was a norm to use maroon (a deep red) fabric for a bridal dress in north India. My friends go to Shukha in the evening time to forget their worries and relax for a while. So, if you want to rejuvenate yourself, then Sukhna Lake is the perfect destination for you...

Shrikhand River @ Nirmand Region of Kullu Disctrict in Himachal Pradesh

Last year I have been to Shrikhand Mahadev which is an amazing trek through clouds... Here are few photographs of Shrikhand River which comes on the way...Chilling water of Shrikhand River flowing down near Jaon Village of Nirmand Region of Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh...As we start upwards we need to cross multiple villages and local people have installed small dams on this river for irrigation.. Recently Himachal Pradesh government has introduced a plan to install electricity plants on natural water resources and get some percentage cost from government... So there were few Engineers that day to investigate the needs to Jaon Panchayat... We had to cross this river three times on the way... I can't remember this experience.. Check out last photograph and notice the tree helping up to cross the river by acting as a Bridge....All these Photographs have been shot without tripod... So you will notice some shakes in these Photographs....
This is one of the water stream near Thacharu which is also moving towards to river for its contribution...During one of the initial stretches we crossed through an area full of forests and water bodies. During first 30 mins, we were moving on a narrow path alongside Shrikhand river....I love this flow of small water streams coming down from snow covered hills to meet Shrikhand River... Chilling white water streams look amazing with smooth flow on the rocks...Here is the bridge I was talking about... I was very scared about crossing this... coz it was round and frictionless... I was second last to cross this in whole group of 12 people...n I didn't want to go last :-)Posted by VJ on PHOTO JOURNEY @ www.travellingcamera.com : VJ, ripple, Vijay Kumar Sharma, ripple4photography, Frozen Moments, photographs, Photography, ripple (VJ), VJ, Ripple (VJ) Photography, VJ-Photography, Capture Present for Future, Freeze Present for Future, ripple (VJ) Photographs , VJ Photographs, Ripple (VJ) Photography :
