Chandigarh: Rock garden, Rose garden, Shanti Kunj, Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh Sector-17, Chandigarh Sector-22 Market: Rock Garden: Rock garden is near to Sukhna Lake. The entrance leads to a magnificent, almost, surrealist arrangement of rocks, boulders, broken chinaware, discarded fluorescent tubes, broken and cast away glass bangles, building waste, coal & clay-all juxtaposed to create a dream folk world of places, soldiers, monkeys, village life, women and temples. In the end there is a huge open space surrounded by different kind of mirrors having special effects. There are lot of things to do for children.

Not only in the aesthetic sense, but also from a photographer's point of view. While it is a monument of every photographer's dreams, it is very difficult to get a good picture of it. Why? Because it is white. And if you have ever taken photography a little seriously, you will understand what I am talking about. During my last visit to Agra, I tried to get some good pictures of Taj. But it took a lot of playing around with the Aperture and Shutter Speed to get decent pictures. Here are some of my experiments: Tajmahal @ Agra, Utter Pradesh, INDIA: In most of my pictures, underexposing has helped produce dramatic results.

BAROG was the name of a British Engineer who was in charge of digging the longest tunnel in this rail network. He started his work from both ends of the hill and unfortunately the two ends didn't align and never meat. British government fined him for wasting govt money. He was under depression and committed suicide.

On your way you can see SOLAN BREWERY and many other small passenger stops. Shivalik exp took nearly 5 hours for us but other trains takes more than 6 hours to cover the distance of 96 KM. During my journey most of the rivers were dry or left with little water as this part of the State gets water through rain.

I love this flow of small water streams coming down from snow covered hills to meet Shrikhand River

Last year I have been to Shrikhand Mahadev which is an amazing trek through clouds... Here are few photographs of Shrikhand River which comes on the way...Chilling water of Shrikhand River flowing down near Jaon Village of Nirmand Region of Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh...As we start upwards we need to cross multiple villages and local people have installed small dams on this river for irrigation.. Recently Himachal Pradesh government has introduced a plan to install electricity plants on natural water resources and get some percentage cost from government... So there were few Engineers that day to investigate the needs to Jaon Panchayat... We had to cross this river three times on the way... I can't remember this experience.. Check out last photograph and notice the tree helping up to cross the river by acting as a Bridge....All these Photographs have been shot without tripod... So you will notice some shakes in these Photographs....
This is one of the water stream near Thacharu which is also moving towards to river for its contribution...During one of the initial stretches we crossed through an area full of forests and water bodies. During first 30 mins, we were moving on a narrow path alongside Shrikhand river....I love this flow of small water streams coming down from snow covered hills to meet Shrikhand River... Chilling white water streams look amazing with smooth flow on the rocks...Here is the bridge I was talking about... I was very scared about crossing this... coz it was round and frictionless... I was second last to cross this in whole group of 12 people...n I didn't want to go last :-)Posted by VJ on PHOTO JOURNEY @ www.travellingcamera.com : VJ, ripple, Vijay Kumar Sharma, ripple4photography, Frozen Moments, photographs, Photography, ripple (VJ), VJ, Ripple (VJ) Photography, VJ-Photography, Capture Present for Future, Freeze Present for Future, ripple (VJ) Photographs , VJ Photographs, Ripple (VJ) Photography :

Top view of ISKCON Temple from parking areas @ East of Kailash, Delhi , INDIA

Posted by Ripple (VJ) on PHOTO JOURNEY @ www.travellingcamera.com : Very good experience of ISKCON Temple in Delhi during Full Moon Night :-): The entire temple is basically made up of red and yellow sandstone. The interiors are very simple in nature and decorated with paintings. The main attraction is the central hall which has a beautiful statue of Radha-Krishna and the walls decorated with religious quotes and customs. The temple museum has various models showing vedic tradition and culture including clothes, games, cuisines etc of that era. The state of art audio-visual hall organizes multimedia shows to help the devotees understand the story of the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. There are talks for developing special section on Forbidden Archaeology based on human existence since the earth formed....
