I had never seen a flower like this one before. Does anyone know its name? The shape is perfect and the hue is uniform. A very photogenic flower, one must say.

This green flower(?) looks almost metallic in this shot. On contrasting it with the bright green stem at the bottom-right and the grey, blurred background, I am able to bring out the life in it.

Another view of India Gate from President's House @ Delhi
The India Gate is the national monument of India. It is one of the largest war memorials in India. Situated in the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Originally known as All India War Memorial, it is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the 90,000 soldiers of the erstwhile British Indian Army who lost their lives fighting for the British Indian Empire, or more correctly the British Empire in India British Raj in World War I and the Afghan Wars.It is made up of red sand stone and granite.

The ancillary dome-like structure on top of the building is known as a CHUTTRI, an integral part of Indian architectural design.
Shot at Indian President's House @ Delhi
The dome in the middle involved a mixture of Indian and British styles. In the center was a tall copper dome surmounted on top of a drum, which stands out from the rest of the building, due to its height. The dome is exactly in the middle of the diagonals between the four corners of the building. The dome is more than twice the height of the rest of the building.

Hamirpur in a cloudy day
Hamirpur district is the smallest district in Himachal Pradesh. Its full of enchanting pine trees and rivers. The people have inherited a rich folk literature which is occasionally exhibited during the marriage, fairs and festivals.
There is a famous temple Baba Balak Nath where people from all over Himachal and Punjab visit in a large to get the blessings.
Hamirpur is located in a relatively warmer region with a lower altitude as compared to the other districts of the state.

Rajasthani Dinner @ Chokhi Dhani, Jaipur, INDIA
The main part is the Rajasthani food served in the Dinner. Buffet is served on one side & there is a place next to it where food is served to you sitting down on the floor. We preferred the second option & enjoyed the food in traditional style. A lot of things are served in a specific order & you can ask for anything anytime, but most of the times Dhani-people around you will ask to have something. Service is really amazing. Best known Rajasthani food Dal-Bhati-Churma is also served, but for adventurous traveler, willing to experiment, there is a lot of variety available. It includes Dal Pachhmelri, Kadi Besanro , Makki/Bajara Roti, gatta, Bura, Butter, Ghee, Chhachh, Lassi, Papad, Khichadi etc & they call all these items in different way.

In recent years the fair has also included an exhibition cricket match between the local Pushkar club and a team of random foreign tourists. Also there is a bridal competition for foreigners....
