During INDIA ART SUMMIT 2011, this particular art piece was most popular !!! It was a huge Mirror made up of small triangular pieces attached to each other without any apparent distortion and have equal slope w.r.t. to surrounding pieces... Although I can't explain the whole thing in short but people really loved to see themselves in it and many folks were just experimenting with little movements on left, right and other directions :) ... As results were extremely different by a very small movement !!!

A metal art form @ INDIA ART SUMMIT, Pragati Maidaan, Delhi, INDIA
This year in February month, INDIA ART SUMMIT happened at Pragati Maidan in Delhi and some of us planned to visit it during the weekend... We reached at Pragati Maidaan gate and saw a huge line... and guess what, there were multiple lines and longest one was leading towards ticket counter :) ... So first got the ticket and then queued to get entry... It was good experience to see artists from various parts of the world, showcasing their work... One of my Software Engineer friend also got motivated to do something in the field of ART... These days he is focusing on his dress sense and hair-style, so that we looks like an Artist and idea to get ready by next ART SUMMIT... if not with an ART, at least with a look of an Artist :)

Is this Monsoon Rain today?
It's very odd when you get a telephone call at 7:00 am on sunday morning ! I was sleeping and was not in a state to talk well.. I asked my friend to have another nap and we shall chat during the day... Just after disconnecting the phone, I heard the sounds outing... Initially I was not very sure if it is rain sound or someone is watering the plants... But soon after listening continuously to this, it was confirmed that it's rain :)
Finally time arrived to say Good Morning Sunday - 11:01 am and rain was still in it's mood.. It seems that Sunday will be a rainy day today... But is it beginning of Monsoons as well?
INDIA Against Corruption !!!
Posting this photograph to recollect all the activities which have happened during last few months and the way Anna Hazare is doing with his team !!! Sometimes when I think about all these things, is seems a new KRANTI in India and it can be painful but hope that results in something good ! Initially kings ruled India, then Britishers came and when country is known as biggest democratic nation. But behind this definition, our leaders are doing everything they want to do and no one can stop them in 90% cases. What exactly is difference between the Kings we used to have years back and these leaders who are although chosen by public but can do anything during next 5 years after election. Sometimes, internal bonding between these political groups is so strong that it doesn't matter who is ruling.. Their personal agendas can easily be accomplished.
This is one of the Kranti where I see lot Indian coming up and supporting Anna and team !!!

Palampur : One of my dream place to live !!!
Here is one of the photographs clicked just after getting out of Bus Stand at Palampur ! It's such a lovely town and believe me, it's not possible to explain the qualities of this town in words. One has to visit the place to feel the difference between this town and others in Hills and even if we compare it with modern facilities of big cities or Metros. Although it would be bad if we compare this beautiful town with big cities like Delhi ! To check more photographs of Palampur Click Here...

One of our friend invited all of us to his place called RANGSHALA .... And two of our brilliant team members though of doing something which suites to that place... And we got some stuff with some colors and idea was to get those things painted and use at our houses... I think it would be difficult for me to explain the whole interesting story, so check out This Link !!!
SUMMER THEATRE FESTIVAL 2011 ended with KAFKA !!!
Recently I have been following the great Indian Theatre event in Delhi. This happened at National School of Drama and known as SUMMER THEATRE FESTIVAL 2011 !!! This festival started in May month of 2011 and ended in June with last play as 'Kafka - Ek Adhyay'.
I also invited two of my friends to join for this play and I felt bad when I realized that it was very serious play. Most of the times, it's always better to watch comedy play to start. Or at least something which is not very serious. Kafka was exactly opposite :) Now I have committed to take them for some good comedy play. But I really enjoyed the whole Summer Theatre Festival 2011 and watched all the plays this time. My Favorite from all the plays is 'Jaat hi Poocho Sadhu Ki' and 'begum ka takia' was the play which I watched third time.

Are you ready to adopt something in Banerghatta Zoo in Banglore, Karnataka, INDIA ?
Great Indian Horn Bill here in baneghatta Zoo is adopted by Mr. T. R. Rithvik, which effectively mean that he is helping the zoo to keep this horn bill in good health. So calculated cost money is given by these folks to Zoo and there are lot many other species which need such funding to keep our environment lively... I liked the idea which gives a sense of happiness for people who have great love for animals and in parallel zoo authority is also able to manage lot many species inside.
Entry Gate to Legislative Assembly, Himachal Pradesh
Legislative Assembly, Himachal Pradesh
Whenever I go to Shimla, I never miss the wonderful walk from Mall Road to Viceregal Lodge and if time allows, we continue till Himachal Pradesh University in Summer-Hill... On this walk, lot of lovely places come and State's Vidhan Sabha is one of the nearest building to Mall Road !!! This whole stretch is very beautiful having road surrounded by huge deodar trees on both sides... Now I remember each turn, shop or building on this way unless things have changed since my last visit... and the better part is that it's not a climb but a downhill with negligible slope.. So we can consider that we walk in planes only... After Viceregal Lodge, the road is narrow and there is dense forest till the point University campus starts.. It's lovely and if timing is correct, one can see the toy train crossing through hills below the road...

Full moon sitting on a snow covered hill of Himalayan Mountain Ranges in Himachal Pradesh, INDIA
First of all, it's not full moon but looked like that only !!! It was early morning at Sarahan Village in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh and moon was still very clear in the sky... We went for a morning walk towards the government and came back to our camp, but still the moon was clearly visible in the sky ! I though of capturing it in my Travelling Camera and incidently the moment I clicked the photographs, it looked like a sitting moon on top of a Hill capped with fresh snow !!!

Plan was to spend some time around President's house and then move to India Gate after sunset... This photograph was taken near north block of President's House and it was a huge pillar on roadside...

Raw Material suppliers working at Humayun's Tomb, Delhi (During maintainance work in Feb'2011))
During one of my visits to Humayun's Tomb, repair work are going on and these two folks were helping in getting the raw material inside the campus and from their expressions I figured out that they wanted to click one of their photograph...
I clicked this one but I should have taken their address to post the hard copies... Now onwards I will make a habit of keeping address of folks who would want me to click their photographs...

Golgappe Vaala @ India Gate, Delhi
In India and specially in North part, Golgappas are very popular and for many folks, any outing with Golgappas is incomplete and useless ! So it's not hard to locate any stall of Golgappas in a market, around parks or some popular places to visit. This Photograph is taken near India Gate and these folks keep walking with all the stuff to serve people who come here during the evening !!!

Panning Experiments @ MTB Himachal 2010 (Mountain Terrain Biking) - 5
Last year, I aprticipated in MTB Himachal 2010 as Photographer due to my over-excitement about this event, although it was very disappointing in the end. Never mind, this activity provided various opportunities to try different things from Photography point of view. During fourth day of MTB I tried various Panning shots !! Apart from Panning, it was really challenging to deal with light on hills and situation becomes worse while moving whole day. Light variation is huge between the hills and bby the time you get familiar with one type of light, you reaches another light region :) ... All in all it was a good decision to go to Himalayas with my Camera but I would prefer not to go to MTB this year !!! Planning a personal trip would be more beneficial in my personal opinion.

Few Experiments with old Architecture of Jantar Mantar @ Delhi, INDIA - 5
Janatar Mantar in Delhi was one place which I planned to visit many times in last 6 years but never realized. Few Months back, I was in CP with one of my friend and we were waiting for other folks to join. After waiting for a while we decided to go to Jantar Mantar, as its at walkable distance from Cannought Place in Delhi. After that we asked our friends to join us there and whole day was very well spent shooting this beautiful piece of Architecture. Jantar Mantar provides lot of opportunities for Photographers who love to shoot architecture, colorful subjects, people or want to try something different with shapes and colors.
