Boy having holy bath at Golden Temple, Amritsar (Punjab State of India) || Beginning of New Year 2012

This photograph is clicked on 1st Jan, 2012. This Boy was having holy bath at Golden Temple on a chilling morning with mist all around.There were lot of folks from various parts of Punjab and surrounding states at Golden Temple. I have been to this place many times, but this time it was too much crowded and there was hardly some space to freely move around. Everyone wanted to start the New Year with God's blessing.

Dust Storm @ Mohali, Punjab, INDIA (Chandigarh Region)

Although the exact place is not this. Jantar Mantars in India are one of the amazing things we have got as heritage. Such a lovely time yantras. Mobile click of Radisson Hotel in Noida (Sector-18)

Sector-18 and GIP are main places in Noida to hang out during weekends... There is lot of parking space in front of Radisson, Noida... We usually park here and roam around... Even if we want to go to GIP, this is best place to park as GIP charge 3 times what we pay here :) ... And its hardly 8 minutes walk from this parking area to Great India Place...

Journey started with Flowers now...

For last few months, I have been shooting Flowers for different clients for different purposes... If you are regular visitor to tis blog, you may have noticed that client work is not shared on this blog and most of the casual work is showcased. This is again a very casual shot, but somehow I liked it as compared to other well-polished flower-shots which are delivered to the clients. For next few days, you may see various types of flowers, although I would not be able to add much information about various varieties...

An American Lady walking around Humyaun's Tomb in Delhi, INDIA




Few days back I met her at Humayun's Tomb and she wanted to ask something but hesitating to start.. First she started with a simple question about my Camera and introduced herself. She was travelling in various parts of India for last few days... She keenly observed some of the worker there who were doing some maintenance work at main Tomb... She was mainly worried if these people are completely going to change the monument or it's just few main pillars of the Tomb... Although she was appreciating their work and some of them were really changing the art-works on the walls... 


Suddenly after few minutes of conversation with this lady and I also thought about it ... and realized that soon we may see a new/Modern Humayun's Tomb if not maintained well !!!

Raw Material suppliers working at Humayun's Tomb, Delhi (During maintainance work in Feb'2011))



During one of my visits to Humayun's Tomb, repair work are going on and these two folks were helping in getting the raw material inside the campus and from their expressions I figured out that they wanted to click one of their photograph...


I clicked this one but I should have taken their address to post the hard copies... Now onwards I will make a habit of keeping address of folks who would want me to click their photographs...

Real Engineers of India who keep our monuments maintained : A person working at Humyun's Tomb, Delhi, INDIA




Every year Delhi Government spend a lot of Money of maintaining our heritage like Humayun's Tomb, Safdarjung Tomb etc and they need special care after such a long time after their construction. 


When I saw these people working there, I got to know about the fact that still skilled people are here in India and they are maintaining our Heritage !!! Sorry for not posting the photographs which had people actually craving those walls of Humayun's Tomb...

During Feb 2011, one of our friend was here in Delhi and we planned a week-end outing with him !! First we went to Humayun's Tomb in the morning and then moved to Old Fort near Pragati Maidaan. It was a foggy day and some of the tourists were disappointed with the whether ! But all of us enjoyed this day outing a lot !!

I know it's not an impressive shot but this one of the decent shot I could get... I am really fan of such shots but never succeed :(

I should really work hard to get one in early morning ! It's really hard for me get up early in the morning but it's high time to think and try to get better shot.. Hope to catch a good shot soon and get back on same blog !

btw, I am visiting Hills of Himachal soon and it could be proved as a good opportunity to get such shot in early morning on the hills.. Suggestions to improve are welcome !!!

A colorful building just outside Banerghatta National Park - Don't know what's written on top of it ??


Wildlife Safari @ Banerghatta National Park in Banglore City of India : Posted by VJ SHARMA on www.travellingcamera.com : Recently I visited Garden City for five days and though of exploring the beautiful city of Karnataka. Banglore (Bangluru) which is also a popular IT hub in India. One of my close friend work in Banglore with Oracle and he picked me from Hotel on very first day of my arrival in the city. The first place I visited in Banglore was Banerghatta National Park and it was a different experience as compared to Jim Corbett, Ranthambore and other Wild-Life regions... Check out these Photographs to know more about the place and this visit....This was the first time a complete family of Lions and all of them were very close to our bus.. Earlier I had seen Lions in Delhi Zoo and a Zoo near Renuka lake in Himachal Pradesh... There were lot of old lions in Renuka Zoo and that was also a very good experience to hear the roar of a group lions in sync...Bannerghatta National Park is situated 21 kilometers in South Bangalore in Karnataka State of India. Complete Tour of Baneghatta National Park takes nearly 2 hrs.After parking our car we moved towards the ticket counter and this was the first colorful building we saw in the campus of Banerghatta National Park... Reserve opens at 9:00 am in the morning and closes at 5:00 pm in the evening. There is an area near to exit gate where a butterfly house is created. Lot of colorful butterflies can be seen inside that dome but one needs to be patient because most of the time they hide themselves behind various flowers in that dome...Tigers inside Baneghatta were roaming freely on the roads in front of Safari Buses...The Bannerghatta Tiger & Lion Reserve had a reserve of Indian tigers including white tigers, lions and other mammals.... Various Safaris are conducted by the KSTDC which helps in funding of the Banerghatta reserve. The Tiger Reserve of the park has been recognized by the Forest Department of India !!! Here is a view to the lake inside Baneghatta National Park... This was shot through the driver window and you can see the net around the window area... There were some beautiful lakes inside the park and it was so colorful...Here is one Crocodile having sunbath near a water pond inside Banerghatta National Park in Banglore city of India.... There were few birds disturbing him :-) .. They used to come and pinch him on his back and fly away... That's why you see his open mouth in this photograph... Irritated ... Emu walking in a restricted area of Banerghatta national Park... all of them had some specific regions assigned and they can't go to other's area because of high fences... There were lot of monkeys inside Banerghatta National Park in Banglore... This particular group was very interesting. They were having a long-jump competition with various rules.. We were able to crack few of them but not all :-) There were few supporters sitting on the benches and they used to jump down whenever their player go for a long jump...Colorful tortoise in Banerghatta Zoo.... At the entry gate of Banerghatta National Park, there is a zoo and this photograph has been clicked there... There were few more species of Tortoise...Spotted Dear inside Banerghatta National Park @ Banglore, Karnataka...Lady cleaning the path towards butterfly house.... Various Safaris are conducted by the KSTDC which helps in funding of the Banerghatta reserve. The Tiger Reserve of the park has been recognized by the Forest Department of India !!! Here is a view to the lake inside Baneghatta National Park... This was shot through the driver window and you can see the net around the window area... There were some beautiful lakes inside the park and it was so colorful...Here is one Crocodile having sunbath near a water pond inside Banerghatta National Park in Banglore city of India.... There were few birds disturbing him :-) .. They used to come and pinch him on his back and fly away... That's why you see his open mouth in this photograph... Irritated ... Emu walking in a restricted area of Banerghatta national Park... all of them had some specific regions assigned and they can't go to other's area because of high fences... There were lot of monkeys inside Banerghatta National Park in Banglore... This particular group was very interesting. They were having a long-jump competition with various rules.. We were able to crack few of them but not all :-) There were few supporters sitting on the benches and they used to jump down whenever their player go for a long jump...Colorful tortoise in Banerghatta Zoo.... At the entry gate of Banerghatta National Park, there is a zoo and this photograph has been clicked there... There were few more species of Tortoise...Spotted Dear inside Banerghatta National Park @ Banglore, Karnataka...Lady cleaning the path towards butterfly house.... There was an area near exit of Banerghatta National Park having a dome shaped house for various types of butterflies... A Very Well maintained place inside Banerghatta National Park !!!
