Dust Storm at 3rd JK TYRE OYA Auto Cross and Motorcross event in Mohali, Punjab, INDIA

On 24th Dec'2011, it was final round of various competition categories in OYA Motorport event in Chandigarh. The day was full of dust all around the place. I was standing very close to these tracks and a black bag converted into yellowish color after I came out. Dust was negligible when bikes were flying, but during car races, it was hard to see what exactly is happening. At times, it was not able to click photographs as well. And at one point of time only two cars were competing. Basically these folks note the time taken by each car on a particular track and finally the fastest one wins the race. To check out more photographs of the event, check out - OYA MOTORSPORTS

Firozshah Kotla Stadium in Panoramic form

Somehow Cricket news have been reduced for last few months. One of the reasons is shift of focus from Cricket to other more important things for our country and other reason is bad performance of our Cricket Team I guess :) ... Although I am not sure if performance is really bad or it's just me who think so !btw, I am not a Cricket fan but love to join friends for short span of time. T20 fits better for me to experience the passion of Cricket in stadiums and joining my friends to support their regional teams :)

Few Experiments with old Architecture of Jantar Mantar @ Delhi, INDIA - 7

Some Experiments with old architecture of Jantar Mantar in Delhi, INDIA : Posted by VJ SHARMA on www.travellingcamera.com : Last month me and one of my friend were waiting for other folks to reach Connaught Place in Delhi and they called us to inform that all of them are arriving after 1:30 Hrs... This was good opportunity for us to explore some place nearby and decided to visit Jantar Mantar... After reaching the place I was not able to decide what should I shoot... Everywhere people were roaming and it was really difficult to find a place without people... and it was not like two or three folks.. It was huge crowd in front of each yantra @ Jantar Mantar.. So finally I decided to have some photographs which can avoid this crowd and it gave a good opportunity to place with various angles/compositions... check out and critics are welcome !!The first photograph where I wanted to have darkest possible shadows to make it look like black tiles in contact with reds and white ones.. Although it doesn't look like that... I would have to wait to click this photograph at right time but we had to move out in few hrs... Never mind, I will try it again...This time I was carrying SONY Alpha-700 and was confused with some of the controls.. Anyway that's not important... These yantras were very narrow is shape and it was difficult to fit myself for clicking these architecture forms nicely... Here is a tilted view of a semi-spherical yantra @ Jantar Mantar...All these photographs from the same yantra and it was was quite interesting... But please don't ask me about how it functions and what it is supposed to do...Stairs hidden behind these structures and everyone needs to follow them to go down and see the real work inside these yantras.. In Jantar Mantar at jaipur, everyone was not allowed to go inside these structures but in Delhi I didn't see such restrictions except one which had highest structure followed by lot of stairs....Jantar Mantar in Delhi is a very popular place among activists, social associations and artists as well... Many of the NGOs choose this place to start a rally or protest... Also many artists have explored this very well and many times Photographers have exhibited this place...A Series of small pillars taking all the weight of small paths connecting outer circle of a structure with a pole in the middle... as you can see the turning path in a circle...One of my friend called it 'Stairs of Success'.. I don't if that is the name of these stairs but like the caption :)Final Photograph showing the close-up view of this architecture which shows the age of this structure and its been repaired multiple times in past which resulted in this roughness... I am again planning to visit Jantar Mantar in Delhi and will ensure that I get full day to spend there...

No place is out of its reach
Nothing can save you.
When you are working or even sleeping
It will hit you when you least expect.

The quitessential question
of existence, of purpose, of calling
spares no one.
And when the mind starts asking
where did I come from and where am I headed.
some pack their bags and head out
in search of answers
while others put their hands
on the back of their heads
and lie back, relaxed.
“I came from nowhere,
and nowhere am I headed.”

Kids enjoying @ Noida Stadium during Flower Show 2011

After wandering here and there for seeing various flowers at Noida Flower Show, I went towards the other corner with lot of food-stalls... These two kids were really focusing on food items they should have after spending some hours seeing colorful flowers !!! I really liked these kids, as you can see the appealing dressed, shoes and the way they are positioned...

Few Experiments with old Architecture of Jantar Mantar @ Delhi, INDIA - 5

Although the photograph is dull but I have clicked this on a very special day... btw the dullness of this photograph is due to exporting it through a software which tried to be over-smart with the Photograph and spoiled the sharpness of newly bought Canon 50D :) ... This Photograph was clicked on a day when I had to wait for my punctual friends for 3 Hrs in Cannought Place in Delhi !!! I just walked to Jantar Mantar and enjoyed the day with my Camera :)

Few Experiments with old Architecture of Jantar Mantar @ Delhi, INDIA - 5

Janatar Mantar in Delhi was one place which I planned to visit many times in last 6 years but never realized. Few Months back, I was in CP with one of my friend and we were waiting for other folks to join. After waiting for a while we decided to go to Jantar Mantar, as its at walkable distance from Cannought Place in Delhi. After that we asked our friends to join us there and whole day was very well spent shooting this beautiful piece of Architecture. Jantar Mantar provides lot of opportunities for Photographers who love to shoot architecture, colorful subjects, people or want to try something different with shapes and colors. Beautiful Cricket Stadium surrounded by snow capped hills of Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges of Himalayas @ Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh, INDIA

I am not a cricket fan but recently visited Dharmshala to cover final match of T20 Mahasangram organized by HPCA and Jaypee Cement was sponsor of this great event. This tournament made a world record and that was a big thing. But for me, Stadium in Dharmshala was more special. What a stadium is was ! Unimaginably beautiful and snow covered hills in it's surrounding make it far better !! Let me share that beauty of this place can be captured in a Photograph. One has to visit the place to really appreciate the beauty !!!
