Motorboats waiting for Passengers at Govind Sagar Lake in Una Region of Himachal Pradesh, India

Here is a Photograph from my recent visit to Himachal during Holi vacations. While going to Hamirpur from Delhi, this lake comes on the way near Una and known as Govind Sagar Lake which is a part of Satluj River. This lake was created during initiation of Bhakhra Hydro Project. Although this lake has snatched land of many folks around the place, but at the same time they have got new opportunities to earn their livings. Above photograph shows a very small portion of this lake. Govind Sagar is a huge lake spread in two districts of Himachal Pradesh covering hundreds of kilometers.

Zoom-In Zoom-Out Magic from Humayun Tomb, Delhi, INDIA

Recently I went to Humayun tomb for shooting Lunar Eclipse 2011 and some of the folks were well equipped for capturing this eclipse with Humayun' tomb in front of the Moon Trail. results are yet to come, but at same time I was playing with my lens. This Photograph was taken by an exposure of 20 seconds, out of which 5 second exposure for Zoom-Out and different exposure of 3 seconds in various Zoom-In levels. Three years old experiments at my colorful office on a weekend :)

I found this photograph in an old Hard drive... Few years back I was addict of going to office every weekend because of various reasons :)

This photograph is result of one of the experiments I was doing with small transparent spheres... I am not sure if it's clear from this photograph but would want to know about your perception after first look at this photograph?

I don't know how many times I have shared this photograph and people on this blog may not like resharing same photograph again n again. But somehow, I am really emotional about it and thought of sharing again :)

Diya on Diwali Day (Indian Fesival of Lights)

Deeya(Diya) or deepam or deepak (India) is a lamp made usually of clay, with wick made of cotton and dipped in ghee or vegetable oils. Clay deeyas are temporary and are used for special occasions.

Deeyas are predominantly used in Hindu religious festivals such as Diwali, are native to India, and are thus associated with and unique to Hinduism practices.
