Wah Taj Wah !!!

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra which is located in Uttar Pradesh state of India. Tajmahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture. It has a style that combines elements from Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was cited as "the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage."

Shrikhand River @ Nirmand Region of Kullu Disctrict in Himachal Pradesh

Last year I have been to Shrikhand Mahadev which is an amazing trek through clouds... Here are few photographs of Shrikhand River which comes on the way...Chilling water of Shrikhand River flowing down near Jaon Village of Nirmand Region of Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh...As we start upwards we need to cross multiple villages and local people have installed small dams on this river for irrigation.. Recently Himachal Pradesh government has introduced a plan to install electricity plants on natural water resources and get some percentage cost from government... So there were few Engineers that day to investigate the needs to Jaon Panchayat... We had to cross this river three times on the way... I can't remember this experience.. Check out last photograph and notice the tree helping up to cross the river by acting as a Bridge....All these Photographs have been shot without tripod... So you will notice some shakes in these Photographs.... This is one of the water stream near Thacharu which is also moving towards to river for its contribution...During one of the initial stretches we crossed through an area full of forests and water bodies. During first 30 mins, we were moving on a narrow path alongside Shrikhand river....I love this flow of small water streams coming down from snow covered hills to meet Shrikhand River... Chilling white water streams look amazing with smooth flow on the rocks...Here is the bridge I was talking about... I was very scared about crossing this... coz it was round and frictionless... We had to cross this Shrikhand river three times on the way... I can't forget that experience..

During one of the initial stretches we crossed through an area full of forests and water bodies. During first 30 minutes we were moving on a narrow path alongside Shrikhand river....

I love this flow of small water streams coming down from snow covered hills to meet Shrikhand River...

Bhagsunag Waterfall @ Mcleoganj, Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh

POSTED BY RIPPLE (VJ) on PHOTO JOURNEY : Waterfall near Bhagsu Temple @ Mcleodganj, Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh: Bhagsu Nag temple is in Bhagsu Village about a km from McCleodganj. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has great historical significance. About seven streams, like miniature waterfalls flow here and these are considered holy with cleansing properties by devotees. A freshwater spring also flows through the temple and bathing in its waters is considered a spiritual experience in itself. The village of Bhagsu is originally a tribal Gaddi village, but now many Israelis have made it their home offering services and working to support themselves. In fact many of the signs are written in Hebrew and Hebrew is spoken in the streets, making the village a strange combination of Indians and Israelis. Solang Valley @ Manali, Himachal Pradesh : Valley of Sports

Solang valley is in Himachal Pradesh, India and is known for its summer and winter sports. The sports most commonly offered are parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing. Giant slopes of lawn comprise Solang Valley and provide it its reputation as a popular ski resort. A few ski agencies offering courses and equipment reside here and operate only during winters.Snow melts during the summer months and skiing is then replaced by zorbing (a giant ball with room for 2 people which is rolled down a 200 meter hill), paragliding, parachuting and horse riding. 13 kms. is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. It has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute has installed a ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guest house of the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali. Now a few hotels have also come up. The winter skiing festival is organised here. Training in skiing is imparted at this place. My Recent Wallpaper : A shot of Bijli Mahadev

Posted by Ripple (VJ) : Recently I visited Bijli Mahadev, which is a small trek from Kullu. Since there is a road now, so we had to trek 3 km only. Its really an amazing place to visit and this was the best place I visited during my recent Kullu-Manali trip of four days. I visited many places like Rohtang, Solang, Vishishth, Naggar, Kullu, Manali, Manimahesh etc, but the best part was trekking experience to Bijli Mahadev... Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,438 m in the Kullu Valley. Bijli Mahadev is one of the excellent temples in India.
