Post Sunset hues from Trilokinath (Lahual and Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, INDIA)

This is a three years old Photograph, which was clicked at Trilokinath Temple in Lahaul & Spiti. Most of the co-travellers can't forget this adventurous trip to Lahual & Spiti. It was the time, when we stuck at a place due to land-slide and our hotel was just 14 kilometers away, but had no option but to go back. After a day long journey from Chandigarh, we were about to reach Udaipur and stuck at a place near Trilokinath. Finally we came back and stayed in an open ground outside Trilokinath Temple. We got some forest-wood to have bonfire and spent whole night in chilling ground surrounded by snow covered peaks.

A View of Kullu Valley from Naggar Palace

Naggar Castle is situated on the left bank of river Beas at an altitude of 1851m, above sea level. Naggar - an ancient town commands an extensive views, especially of the north west of the valley. Naggar was the former capital of Kullu about 1460 years. It was founded by Raja Visudhpal and continued as a headquarters of the State until the capital was transferred to Sultanpur (Kullu) by Jagat Singh probably by 1460 A.D. Today this ancient and beautiful place is a popular tourist spot in the Kullu valley which has many legends and attractions. The Castle was converted into a rest house about hundred years back and in 1978 this ancient building was handed over to HPTDC to run as a heritage hotel. This medieval Castle was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu around 1460 A.D., the hotel over looks the Kullu Valley and apart from the spectacular view and superb location, this has the flavor of authentic western Himalayan architecture. Here a gallery houses the paintings of the Russian artist Nicholas Reorich, Naggar also has three other old shrines. Hotel Castle is an unique medieval stone and wood carvings now a HPTDC heritage hotel. It offers a grand view of the valley: Posted by Ripple (VJ) : ripple, Vijay Kumar Sharma, ripple4photography, Frozen Moments, photographs, Photography, ripple (VJ), VJ, Ripple (VJ) Photography, Capture Present for Future, Freeze Present for Future, ripple (VJ) Photographs , VJ Photographs, Ripple (VJ) Photography :

An amazing place near Kullu : Bijli Mahadev

Posted by Ripple (VJ) : Recently I visited Bijli Mahadev, which is a small trek from Kullu. Since there is a road now, so we had to trek 3 km only. Its really an amazing place to visit and this was the best place I visited during my recent Kullu-Manali trip of four days. I visited many places like Rohtang, Solang, Vishishth, Naggar, Kullu, Manali, Manimahesh etc, but the best part was trekking experience to Bijli Mahadev... Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,438 m in the Kullu Valley. Bijli Mahadev is one of the excellent temples in India. Located 10 km from Kullu across the Beas river, it can be approached by a difficult but rewarding trek of 3 km.: Posted by Ripple (VJ) : ripple, Vijay Kumar Sharma, ripple4photography, Frozen Moments, photographs, Photography, ripple (VJ), VJ, Ripple (VJ) Photography, Capture Present for Future, Freeze Present for Future, ripple (VJ) Photographs , VJ Photographs, Ripple (VJ) Photography :

Shradh Pooja @ Jaipur Ghat, Pushkar, Rajasthan

Pushkar has five principal temples, many smaller temples and 52 ghats where pilgrims descend to the lake to bathe in the sacred waters. One of the primary temples is the 14th century temple dedicated to Brahma, the Hindu god of creation.

Top view of ISKCON Temple from parking areas @ East of Kailash, Delhi , INDIA

Posted by Ripple (VJ) on PHOTO JOURNEY @ www.travellingcamera.com : Very good experience of ISKCON Temple in Delhi during Full Moon Night :-): The entire temple is basically made up of red and yellow sandstone. The interiors are very simple in nature and decorated with paintings. The main attraction is the central hall which has a beautiful statue of Radha-Krishna and the walls decorated with religious quotes and customs. The temple museum has various models showing vedic tradition and culture including clothes, games, cuisines etc of that era. The state of art audio-visual hall organizes multimedia shows to help the devotees understand the story of the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. There are talks for developing special section on Forbidden Archaeology based on human existence since the earth formed.... This sound and Light show is more about values depicted in Ramayana and Mahabharata...: ripple, Vijay Kumar Sharma, ripple4photography, Frozen Moments, photographs, Photography, ripple (VJ), VJ, Ripple (VJ) Photography, Capture Present for Future, Freeze Present for Future, ripple (VJ) Photographs , VJ Photographs, Ripple (VJ) Photography :
