Rock garden is near to Sukhna Lake. The entrance leads to a magnificent, almost, surrealist arrangement of rocks, boulders, broken chinaware, discarded fluorescent tubes, broken and cast away glass bangles, building waste, coal & clay-all juxtaposed to create a dream folk world of places, soldiers, monkeys, village life, women and temples. In the end there is a huge open space surrounded by different kind of mirrors having special effects. There are lot of things to do for children.

Bara Gumbad @ Lodhi Garden :: In the middle of the gardens is the Bara Gumbad and Sheesh Gumbad. The Bara Gumbad ("Big Dome") consists of a large dome, a three domed masjid (mosque) and a residence surrounding a central courtyard, where the remains of a water tank can be seen. Opposite the Bara Gambad is the Sheesh Gambad, which contains the remains of an unknown family.

BAROG was the name of a British Engineer who was in charge of digging the longest tunnel in this rail network. He started his work from both ends of the hill and unfortunately the two ends didn't align and never meat. British government fined him for wasting govt money. He was under depression and committed suicide.
On your way you can see SOLAN BREWERY and many other small passenger stops. Shivalik exp took nearly 5 hours for us but other trains takes more than 6 hours to cover the distance of 96 KM. During my journey most of the rivers were dry or left with little water as this part of the State gets water through rain.

Of the seven lakes at SaatTaal, HanumanTaal, BhiyunTaal and SukhaTaal are seasonal, filling up when the monsoon is at its peak. The SukhaTaal is a delightful lake where you can also view a exiting waterfall. This place attracts every tourist who visits this place. The beautiful sight of the waterfall, sound of the water all appears incredible and we wont feel like leaving the place.

The great gate stands to the north of the entrance forecourt (jilaukhana) ....
The corners are articulated with octagonal towers giving the structure a defensive appearance. External domes were reserved for tombs and mosques and so the large central space does not receive any outward expression of its internal dome....

The construction of the temple is similar to that of the Opera House in Sydney. The temple always looks mesmerizing. However, different light conditions have different effect on the way the temple appears.

We had snacks there after light and sound show @ ISKCON Temple... Spent some time inside temple and attended Aarti...
The entire temple is basically made up of red and yellow sandstone. The interiors are very simple in nature and decorated with paintings. The main attraction is the central hall which has a beautiful statue of Radha-Krishna and the walls decorated with religious quotes and customs. The temple museum has various models showing vedic tradition and culture including clothes, games, cuisines etc of that era. The state of art audio-visual hall organizes multimedia shows to help the devotees understand the story of the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. There are talks for developing special section on Forbidden Archaeology based on human existence since the earth formed.... This sound and Light show is more about values depicted in Ramayana and Mahabharata...
