Roads near Naukuchiataal in Uttrakhand state of INDIA

Paragliding @ Naukuchiataal, Uttrakhand state of INDIA : During recent trip to Naukuchiataal, all of our office folks tried Paragliding and it was a great fun... Its 6 kilometers form the lake and one has to trek 400 meters to take off for the flight :): Here is our first hero to take the flight in the air.. Paraglider take off from a cliff and land down in a village near to the lake... Its 15-20 minutes ride depending upon the flow of the air... They charge 1300 rs for that.. I had already done paragliding at SONLANG Valley near Manali in Himachal Pradesh and BIR BILLING in Kangra Valley... So it was not worth spending 1300 .. For first time experience, its worth... Also one can negotiate to get a deal for 800-1000 in case group comprises of more than 5... : After feeling the excitment, most of my friends tried a ride in air... during the ride, many of them thought that I am clicking their photographs ... and you know... there was no pic with clear face :( : One of our friend screaming while taking off for the flight in air.... Road connecting lake and the place where paragliding happens... This road was very beutiful and had few patches on the way...Coloful hills arond paragliding area at Naukuchiataal... This is a view of hills parallel to the place where paragliders take off.... Tarun and his family taking rest on the half way while climbing to paragliding club.... Another photograph of the road leading to Pragaliding place from Naukuchiataal.. All of them want to try paragliding and waiting for gliders to come back.... Actually there were only 5 gliders there and they used to take them back from the landing place... All this used to take 30 minutes at least... A view of the lake from Paragliding place @ Naukuchiataal, Uttrakhand, INDIA... This is the landmark to find out the place where paragliding happens in Naukuchiataal... When we were driving towards it, we moved ahead and missed this board.... after some distance, we asked a gentleman on the way and got to know that borad was the point form where we had to climb to a small hill... Another paraglider in sky with clouds @ Naukuchiataal, Uttrakhand, INDIA

Everyday they used to ride 50-90 kilometers... If there is some problem on the way, they fix it themselves and move on... Every night they used to service their bikes and do some test rides around camp side... Most of them were expert in repairing their machines ... Heated Ride - Riders crossing chilling Forests on Himalayas... On second last day we were crossing through a very dense forest and everyone was shivering with the cold... I mean all photographers... We were enjoying this fire in woods and saluting these riders who were not wearing anything warm.... Wondering Souls...Clicked near Shavaad village in Kullu Districts where two folks were sitting on the road-side to see this rally of riders from various parts of the world.... Peer Group @ Kullu-Sarahan, Himachal Pradesh, INDIA ... Man at Work : Real men behind excellent infrastructure in Himalayas... Solar Kick - Wohooo... Side please... I enjoy down-hill rides... Closer to God

A temple in the hills, simply because of the serene setting and the gentle tinkling of the prayer bells, can be, perhaps, the most enlighhtening sight to behold. Even though it was not possible to capture the rustling of tree leaves and the prayer bells in a photograph, I thought that the sight of this picturesque little temple in the lap of the surrounding hills, will help me capture and share the gentle spiritual burst that I felt within myself. I think I have never felt this close to God before.

Explosion - Come on... I am fastest element on this earth... Rest time... Blowing with the wind - About to hit the car on a sharp turn.. But MBT Riders are extremely talented to handle all these situations.... Silhoutte of a Rider against mountains and sparkling water stream...

An NGO called Niev was partner in this event and they educated more than 40 school on this route ... Motive was to educate school children about environment and how small things can make a bug difference in keeping it green and clean... I will share some of the photographs of this activity....
